Quad-Head Displays now supported with IHSE USA’s DVXi Series of KVM Extenders

Monroe, NJ – July 15, 2009 – IHSE USA,LLC, a leading provider of DVI and KVM extender solutions has released their new DVXi Quad-Head Extender for KVM signals over CATx or Fiber. Offered in a 1RU chassis, the DVXi Quad-Head supports a variety of signals including DVI-D, PS2, USB-HID, Audio and RS232. The Quad-Head supports DVI-D video resolutions up to 1920X1200 @60Hz for each channel and includes a loop-through video connection at the local unit for diagnostics or monitoring requirements. Additionally, the DVXi Quad-Head can be configured to support USB 2.0 and/or CWDM fiber optic technology.

For those workstations needing up to four displays per system, the DVXi Quad-Head is the ideal solution. The units are perfect for high end simulation graphics, visualization, command and control or digital signage environments where users are looking for reliability, versatility, and flexibility. The DVXi Quad-Head is easy to install and works seamlessly with our Draco™ line of KVM switcher devices or as a stand-alone extender set. These extenders are designed to carry high-end video, audio, and data over long distances with optimum display quality and, with highly effective compression algorithms, resolutions up to 1920X1200 in 24Bit color are possible for perfect motion video and display imagery. Distances up to 140m can be achieved with CATx or up to 400m with multimode fiber and 10km with singlemode fiber.

The DVXi Quad-Head extension system is comprised of a local unit (Transmitter) located next to the computer or source CPU and a remote unit (Receiver) which is located near the multi-display devices. Up to four DVI-D displays can be supported with one remote unit using up to five dedicated CATx or Fiber cables to connect the two devices. The DVXi Quad-Head package is a complete solution for a single multi-port high-end graphic card. The units also support common keyboard and mouse commands from USB or PS2 type devices as well as full-duplex audio and RS232 data.

For applications where limited fiber optic paths are required, the DVXi Quad-Head can be configured with an optional CWDM transport which reduces the amount of fiber channels from a maximum of ten to only two. Upon receipt of all signals in a MUXED format from the local unit, the remote unit becomes a DEMUX device returning the signals back to their original port without any electronic conversion or signal modifications. All video and KVM signals from the source are transported over individual lightwaves through a singlemode transceiver.

IHSE USA expands line of DVI + KVM Extenders with DSXi Series

INFOCOMM – June 16, 2009 – IHSE USA, LLC, a leading provider of DVI Extender and KVM extender solutions expands their line of KVM extenders with the new DSXi series for CAT 5/6/7 . These extenders support DVI graphics (DVI-D) in an uncompressed mode at resolutions up to 1920X1200@60Hz. The DSXi comes in both single-head and dual-head models allowing for a wide range of configurations. Additionally, all devices support USB for keyboard and mouse or with our Enhanced USB Emulation software (EUE), devices such as touch screens and multimedia keyboards can be used without loss of performance or functionality.

With true uncompressed transfer of DVI data, the DSXi performs perfectly for video transfer at 1920X1080p/60 without the worry of dropping frames or lose of video quality. The small footprint allows up to five modules in a 1RU space and power to the local units can be supplied from the USB port or from an external power supply. On displays supporting the EDID format, DDC information is pulled directly from the device and stored in the local unit, thus eliminating the need for lookup tables or special emulation mode devices.

These units support a wide range of applications for digital signage, call centers, command and control, information terminals, airport traffic control, and high-end KVM extensions where exceptional image quality is required.

IHSE USA debuts flexible Repeater / Cross-Repeater for Fiber and CATx Extenders

INFOCOMM – June 16, 2009 – IHSE USA, LLC, a leading provider of DVI and KVM extender solutions will introduce the new DVXi-RCR (Repeater/Cross-Repeater) for the DVXi line of extenders at Infocomm 2009, June 17-19. This single device can be configured as either a basic signal repeater or as a media format converter for either CATx or Fiber. As a repeater, the compact package allows expanded cable length for CATx, Multimode or Singlemode fiber; and, as a cross-repeater, allows for CATx to Multimode fiber, CATx to Singlemode fiber, or Multimode to Singlemode conversion. The DVXi-RCR is configurable as a signal repeater allowing up to twice the normal cabling distance when positioned in the middle of the cable link. When they are used as a paired system, the DVXi-RCR local unit is configured to convert CATx cable links to either multimode or single mode fiber and then returned back to CATx at the remote unit. For applications where mixed fiber cabling is used, a pair of DVXi-RCR units can work as a multimode to single mode converter. This is perfect for applications where singlemode is used between buildings or locations and multimode is used for signal distribution throughout the building.

The DVXi-RCR compliments the wide range of IHSE USA’s DVXi extenders for DVI, KVM, USB, Audio, and Serial data. This device can also be used with the Draco™ family of DVI Switch and KVM switchers and extenders. Devices can be extended up to 280m for CATx, up to 800m for multimode fiber, and up to 20Km for single mode fiber. Up to five devices can be mounted on a 1RU tray.
